Claustrophobic, gross needle stuff, making phone calls... it's like this movie was made to scare me.

Basically a sci-fi version of the abysmal "Buried", propelled by exposition twists and featuring an AI character, which makes several different reasons why I should have despised it. It's all really tacky in every way, and the ever-present talking interface is particularly silly (they never write these convincingly), but I nevertheless found the movie surprisingly watchable. I imagine avid fans of existential sci-fi thrillers might like this a lot, and it sure beats "Buried".

Several aspects of the plot were relatively predictable, I guess, but Laurent gives it her all, and this is the kind of sci-fi I always welcome.

Good to know film makers were bored in quarantine too.

Cool little thriller. Kept me guessing at every turn and I was mostly wrong. Extra points for the unpredictable ending.

Sci-Fi “Buried” is an interesting concept on paper. While Oxygen is inferior for a lot of its runtime, it does get better the further it goes, mostly due to the twists and increasing tension. Overall I’d say Buried is slightly better just for the consistent pacing and atmosphere, but Oxygen is worth a watch for “stuck-in-one-place” fans.

Aja and Laurent really try to do their best in this quarantine real-time, one-location sci-fi thriller, but its dead-end premise kind of limits the whole thing to repetitive actions and a script that has to take too long to reveal its twists so we can hold our breath too.

The science part of it did not make too much sense for me, and the actions she took made zero possible sense, even under pressure. But as a concept and the way it was put together makes it well worth the watch. Not amazing, but decent. Laurent is stunning as always.

Alexandre Aja's directing talents carry Oxygen to a large extent and the movie has great potential. However, it never reached its potential in the script.

Immensely frustrating because of how long it takes to move the plot forward. Lots of dreamy flashbacks at the start and a prolonged end do it no favors. Underneath is a poor man's Buried (2010) with a few nice sci-fi trappings. Laurent does a decent job. While I think the plot just manages to make sense, the suspension of disbelief is on the high end of the scale.

Thought this was good when I watched it initially but on reflection it's fairly empty and straight forward

For a movie that mostly really takes place in one, confined space, it's effective enough. What most grinded my gears was the whole deal with "oh, there's so little time" and then being as ineffective about using that short time to ones advantage as possible. Otherwise it was tense enough and entertaining, though some of the things you could kind of see coming from a very early point in the movie. The ending was nice, though.

The plot would need a lot of reworking, but I think this premise would be more effective/frightening if it were more grounded and lacked the sci-fi component. Why project a 3D hologram of a person right in front of their face so they can see themself instead of, I don't know, a MIRROR?! Why would the chamber even have any of these communication tools and an AI voice and everything on the inside if the people in it are supposed to be unconscious... but not a way to open it from the inside?

Big dissapointment. Good for one viewing but in my opinion Aja's worst offering.

Mélanie makes the best of an inconsistent plot, it's a shame as the story felt like it had potential

Very much like "Buried" for the first act, then comes into its own.

While the first hour failed to hold my interest, Oxygen recovers after that, kind of. Hard to enjoy a movie with only one character whose emotions are completely out of connection with the audience. Throughout the movie, I felt like something essential to bridge the connection between the protagonist and the viewer was missing.

An entertaining little sci-fi movie. The actress does a good job of keeping the tension, although the setting can get frustrating at times.

The premise sounded interesting enough, but it failed to grab my attention much further. The whole film is predicated on an outrageous and absurd execution of what could have been a novel story. Its really far-fetched into the realm of stupidity. This film tries to do too much and ultimately fails to do anything great.

The plot turns are moderately surprising (so it's best to know nothing in advance) but the suspense is somehow lacking, maybe in part because the actress doesn't quite sell it.

1 yaşam kapsulün içinden nasıl çıkarsınız? Akıllı zeka kapsülünden çıkmayan çalışan kadın doktorumuz, geçmişiyle yüzleşmek zorunda kalacaktır. Tek mekanda geçen film, Melanie Laurent'in oyunculuğuyla izletiyor. Kurgunun başarılı olduğu film, sonlara doğru kısır döngüye başvuruyor. Filmin sonunda, herşeye rağmen hayatta kalma savaşı bu. Engellere engellere rağmen.
