Lon Chaney Jr.'s only leading role in a western! And it's not any regular western, it's a nearly 5 hour serial! He and sidekick Noah Beery Jr. had a pretty good working relationship, made even more fun with Beery Jr's dad Noah Beery SR. being one of the main suspicious characters during these 15 episodes. I'm not going to pretend this was anything deep or had amazing production values. Chaney Jr. didn't embarrass himself being the hero. Instead he looked powerful enough to whip the entire west!
