Out of Death

"Out of Death" is a low-budget production in which Bruce Willis makes a brief but noticeable appearance. While it's not a disaster, the film could have benefited from a more complex narrative.

I think the only person who did a good job was Jaime King, who tried really really hard to make this work. Her performance deserved much better than everything around her. Willis 3 for 3 this year (so far) in finding a way to take naps on the job and still appear on screen. A basic but not horrible story that is hurt by the bad dialogue and the people delivering said bad dialogue. Also, the fuck is up with the title? Out of Death? What does that even mean in context of this flick?

For the most part it was competently produced. A reasonably twisted but unconvincing and unsatisfying plot. Inept corrupt police and terrible dialog. Great grand pappy Bruce Willis was just phoning it in. Jaime King was good but the fights were implausible. Lala Kent made a pretty corpse. Michael Sirow and others stunk it up badly. Not a complete waste of time but entirely forgettable and sometimes quite annoying..
