Our Time Will Come

Sprawling epic of WWII era Hong Kong certainly remains watchable throughout, with Hui constructing some gorgeous scene compositions and drawing some subtle, low-key performances from her actors - perhaps a little too low-key at times, making it unclear (or unconvincing) what the life-and-death stakes are, though its depictions of Nazi-like cruelty of the villains are confronting at times.
