Our Fighting Navy (1937) is a rather poorly told UK film. Boast of a impressive Hollywood cast having secured the services of such names as Noah Beery, H.B. Warner & Richard Cromwell, but in a clumsy way wastes the opportunity of delivering a war classic regardless of ambition. The biggest star however was the British warship HMS Royal Oak, which was sunk just a couple of years later on 14 October 1939 by a Nazi U-boat, hens the insensitive American title for the film - TORPEDOED!
