Our Father

Meny Yaesh revisits some of the themes of "God's Neighbors", still exhibiting the strong influence of foreign (especially American) crime dramas, and featuring another Mizrahi protagonist on a moral and criminal crossroads. While these aren't really new pastures for him, I do feel that he has created a somewhat better, sharper realization of the same vision. It didn't floor me, but it's a very earnest film by a talented and capable writer-director.
