90's urban crime drama meets almost expired blaxploitation. Fun!

Justiceiros de Rua estreava há 25 anos nos EUA. Apesar de tanta gente foda reunida, do diretor às maiores estrelas do blaxploitation, o filme é bem meia boca e não faz juz a todo esse tlento reunido. DVD-R brasileiro no PirateBay.

This film is very 90's. The script is far from perfect, there are some good and some weak moments. The cast does a good job here and they seem to be having fun with their roles. Overall I would recommend this movie.

Blaxploitation meets 90's urban exploitation. It doesn't really play the irony card, which really works in its favour. Williamson and Brown are just so naturally suited to roles like this that isn't necessary to underline how cool they are: it's self evident. Rattan's script could have done with an extensive rewrite by Cohen as there are too many comical gangster villains and not enough snappy one liners, but like it's sagging heroes, it gets the job done, and they have real blue-collar appeal.

Expendables mixed with blaxploitation. Nice. Bad guys ranged from comical to actually scary. Fav scene: Pam Grier getting revenge.

A bunch of middle aged friends fight back against the violent gangs ruining their neighborhood. Bringing together this incredible all star blaxploitation cast is a fantastic achievement, unfortunately the story is pretty weak, and most of the music choices are poor. We're subjected to nearly an hour of goofy gangsta posturing before the shit finally gets serious. Still, it's admittedly pretty badass seeing Shaft, Superfly and Foxy Brown marching down the street with huge guns blowing shit up.

A surprisingly good movie featuring top Blaxplotation stars completed in a surprisingly tasteful way.
