About the only books my step-daughter have read are the Captain Underpants ones and a few from the Norwegian detective series Detektivbyrå Nr. 2. So It was cool to discover they'd actually made a movie out of Jørn Lier Horst books. And it wasn't half-bad. Has a darker tone in the suspense while still maintaining that children's feel. Doesn't manage to to keep things exciting for long stretches, but it did give us a fine family moment watching this together.
