One Piece Movie: The Great Gold Pirate

The first One Piece feature film! A fairly short one, same length as 2 TV-episodes. The TV-series had only had 16 (or 18) episodes at this time, while fun, they were still tweaking the formula, so early One Piece was still trying to find itself. Read up about it, and people claim it hits its stride anywhere between 30th to 120th episode. But the film was still a good time. Laughed the hardest at a hungry Luffy, while the main mission with "The Great Gold Pirate" Woohan was alright.

Man, One Piece used to have much lower stakes. Which was a nice change of pace imo.

Kinda boring

Gotta love the One Piece formula! This felt like a really long filler episode :) *Humor, Zoro's and Luffy's craving for food :D . *Action, fight vs the cat pirate dude and his crew *Sadness, when the old man is pushed aside and his dinner is spilled and stepped on *Life lessons, little boy ends up believing in himself and respecting the old man. And most important: LUFFY WILL BE THE NEXT PIRATE KING!!!!!!!!
