There may have been more than one man with a one man band, but I thought this Pixar short was incredible cute. The animation was fantastic. The music was really good. The contraptions were really well thought out and there were quite a few surprises packed into a little short film...

Maybe the only time the short was better than the motion picture that came after it (Cars). I love the story and how absurd the two competing one man bands were. The ending is also very rewarding. This is definitely one of my favorite Pixar shorts.

As usual, Pixar is so far ahead of the CG pack one might as well call them a lone wolf. This is pure gold, a simple idea made memorable and very, very funny by attention to detail, expressive faces and poses, and impeccable comic timing.

One of Pixar's best shorts, it's actually a bit better than the feature film it was released with (Cars). It's also available as part of the new standalone DVD "Pixar Short Films", and is well worth finding. It's well written, well rendered, and shows just how much you can do with no dialogue at all.
