The gluttony for amount of characters and storylines, obligating the viewer to connect them feels like i'm in 2004 trying to interpret an Innaritu movie. In that way this is a decidedly lowlands 2024 effort: 20 years out of date, overambitious but without any storytelling talent. The visuals however are sparkling, i don't like how it looks like a music video but there's directing skill there. Could have been a very interesting movie about Africa if it knew which storyline was good.
