O Primo Basílio

Not all silent films are easy to enjoy. Some of it is cultural, some of it is lack of distinct style. This Portuguese film overly long, somewhat antiquated acting, and so-so story, especially considering it needed over two hours to tell it. On a positive, it's a fairly straightforward story, and it's easy to get what is going on. But how interesting it was, is a different matter.
