We witness fragility in what it means to be tamed and live with unnatural conditions. Emphasis on the bull portrays the nature of humans to act with emotion, rage, and lust. We see a man try to dictate and compartmentalize his emotions with a lover, while becoming destructive to his own heart. Numerous scenes that are exaggerated shots and give a true feel to the emotions tied between characters. Beautiful and unnerving.

I confess to being frequently puzzled about what was happening in this film, yet never being all that bothered by my confusion. This is a stunning film. Long, exquisitely shot sequences play out in real time, many of which are directly connected to the main plot, and I was content just to watch. Not that I think the plot is uninteresting.
