The best thing I can say is that they let Laurel & Hardy alone to do their thing. MGM didn't fill it with a lot of nonsense like they did with many of their 30s films. Unfortunately the material they had gathered for Nothing But Trouble (1944) wasn't that good. But they had me laughing hilariously at Laurel's manic screaming when hanging out the window!
