I enjoyed this a lot, so sue me! The film makers clearly love the source material and I believe this is what makes the film work. The parody scenes are all stitched together in a relatively coherent plot unlike so many other films in this genre. If you've watched these types of teen movies and gotten any kind of enjoyment out of them this comedy should hit the spot.

This can't be compared to all of the movies of a similar vein (Epic Movie, Disaster Movie, etc.). This is light-years better than any of those. It's dumb and cheesy, but a lot of the jokes are genuinely hilarious. Also one of the few movies I've ever seen with ADR'd jokes that are actually funny. "Walk it off, Marty!"

A lot of potential it had is smeared under a layer of stupidity, but there's at least one good joke for every two bad ones, and as a teen movie fan, I have to admit I enjoyed a lot of the parody. Some of the performances are actually really good, especially Sam Huntington's hilariously committed parody of Chris Klein in American Pie.

There's nothing to say to deny that it's juvenile and gross for the most part. Not Another Teen Movie is also hilarious in places and wonderfully uncomfortable in others. The performers are all great. Particularly a charming pre-Cap Chris Evans and one of the best cameos in history from Molly Ringwald.

Hell i laughed alot and that's what counts. Im only just seeing this, so many of the films it parodies are long forgotten by me but i still laughed right along bc the jokes are still good enough. Its a shame good parodies arent made anymore.

I mean, this movie is bad. Its badness has a certain charm though. Like, would I recommend this to anyone? Probably not. But, if someone offered me to watch it together, I also wouldn't say no. If it weren't put together like a collection of skits and referential jokes, could have been a more solid movie.

Standard issue review for these sort of spoof movies – you either laugh or you don't, and this does have some amusing set pieces (highlighted by a gleefully gross riff on CRUEL INTENTIONS and a spectacularly overblown scatological gag early on). Wavers between all-out spoof and an attempt at "sincere" narrative storytelling, accounting for some plotting lags which could have been tidied up a bit – these sort of movies need to be more rat-a-tat in their gag delivery.

Recommended by friend. By advertisement this should be the Mother of all teen movies. And it is directed by Gallen, who's specialized to parodies or some weird comedys. This parody doesn't really bite and is disappointment.

By now, you should know what you are getting into with this type of flick. This one is rather hit and miss for me; there are some really funny skits and some really annoyingly bad skits. On the plus the lovely Vincent is not afraid to go all out, which she does often.

Definitely expected more given the immense talents among the cast. It had a few good laughs but overall it was a silly and dumb movie. Mr. T and Molly Ringwald cameos were cool for nostalgic purposes and for nerd culture. Just Another Bad Comedy though really.

Just before parody movies became a case of pointing a shotgun at the years releases and mashing a plot out of it there was this. Which only uses the teen movie section, but decides to have a semi coherent plot with it. Aided by a decent cast it's decidedly watchable. If only we could drag the genre back in this direction

The most memorable parts of this movie are the bad ones. At least this came before the genre started serving up absolute goose eggs a few years ago. The soundtrack would be amazing... if they were the songs by the original artists. Instead, they are like this movie - a poor imitation of great entertainment.

I think this is the only "--- Movie" I found funny (I guess my scores for those are one 30 and the rest all 0s I give usually just by watching 15-30 random minutes on TV), and I find it better that the movies it spoofs and I usually can't stand. Maybe because I hate them that much this one seems good.

Spoof movies have a pretty bad reputation nowadays, though they deserve it, and that may have you skipping 'Not Another Teen Movie'. It's actually pretty funny and, unlike the "___ Movie" spoofs of today, this spoof stays on topic. Aside from a scene that completely lifts lines from 'The Breakfast Club', it actually has jokes for the movies it skewers. Most of the good jokes come from people hollering in the background. Not the type of flick you'll watch over and over, but good for some laughs.
