We filmed a fight scene in an airplane bathroom! Liam Neeson calls over a stewardess and just points to the bathroom and then shushes her when she's shocked to see a dead body in there. Granted, as a flight attendant she should know that no one ever says, "Hey, look in this airplaine bathroom," and then there's a transcendent painting waiting to be seen. Anyways, they never do find Jodi Foster's daughter.

Complete nonsense from start to finish, with a ridiculous final act, a moronic script and loads of plot holes. But there is no ostentatiousness or false pretensions here. It's Liam Neeson punching people on a plane for a couple of hours and really isn't prentending to be anything else; and what's not enjoyable about that?

I really like films set on planes. The concept also has legs. Too bad it's driven by convenient coincidences, and characters and actions that tend to range from implausible to impossible. Live news channels are available on international flights now apparently and the TSA plays loose and fast with any kind of safety protocol you can imagine. It's entertaining enough regardless - it's clear it doesn't try to be grounded in reality so whatever. It has Liam Neeson and some other good faces in it.

Being a nervous flyer myself, this one wasn't a particularly-hotly-anticipated watch for me, but I like Liam Neeson a lot and I love Julianne Moore, and I'm always up for a good suspense/thriller/mystery. On that level the movie worked pretty well -- a solid mystery that I didn't get to the end of too quickly, and the performances were adequate (Neeson has his wonky moments as always; that's part of his charm). Unfortunately, the climax does not do justice to the build. Still worth watching.

The answer to who's behind the evil plot is neither satisfying nor plausible but everything before that (which is most of the movie) is very suspenseful with the director constantly shifting our suspicions as to who could be behind it. Neeson's riveting as usual, making us believe his action hero's got a lot going on internally as he works his way towards a barely coherent (?) explanation. The climax also delivers a thrilling & distinctive kill shot under weightless conditions.

Liam I-Can't-Believe-I'm-Still-Doing-This-Shit-At-64 Neeson strikes again. He was quite good in Non-Stop. Jaume Collet-Serra's direction was also a highlight, especially doing a good job keeping the audience guessing about who the killer is without making it unbelievable. The writing, uhm, isn't great, especially that last monologue. Non-Stop also has an all-star cast and they gave Lupita (Gwen) like two lines and almost no air time, which still remains one of my biggest gripes.

A dumb, dumb, dumb movie, but I loved it probably more than I should have. Some kind of inventive ideas here, and an airplane remains a cool setting for a movie even though it's no longer original. Get drunk with your pals and cheer loudly whenever Liam Neeson does something illegal. Actually a pretty good cast, minus the director's absolutely criminal waste of Lupita Nyong'o. Did I mention I really love Liam Neeson?

On paper, Non-Stop is an effective thriller. Most of its plot adds up, it is, for the most part, suspenseful, and it's all done in service of a point. If you're someone who gets caught up on the details, or has trouble suspending your disbelief too far, Non-Stop might push past those boundaries and you're not going to enjoy it as a result. If you can overlook those sorts of things, you're in for a fun ride.

In the early going there's a fun Hitchcock-flavored "wrong man" thriller here, but as it builds toward its climax the film gets more and more stupid, leading to a final reveal and villainous monologue that was pretty head-smackingly dumb. Julianne Moore is certainly wasted, but some other people like Corey Stoll actually get to have some fun. Overall, I'd recommend just rewatching Air Force One.

Non-Stop is a hard film to take seriously with it's title alone. And with such a title you'd expect a thrill a minute action romp along the lines of 'Speed' or 'Point Break'. But it's in fact surprisingly bland and uninteresting. Liam Neeson has become accustomed to the action hero role and is comfortable here. But I couldn't help but think that if this had of been released in the 90's and starred Bruce Willis it would of probably been a hit. By today's standards though its pretty underwhelming.

Despite any wonkiness that exists -- and believe me there is some head-scratching to be had here -- I had a good time. It maintained its mystery pretty well until the end. Neeson kicks some ass and that's usually entertaining. Not incredible, but a sometimes silly, sometimes intense suspense/thriller that is worth watching if you just wanna kill a little time with something that isn't mindblowing but is still satisfying.

Fun thriller is just another excuse for Neeson to go into ass-kicking 'TAKEN' mode but accepted on these terms, it works well, and functions as a better TAKEN sequel than the actual sequel did! Absurd red herrings abound, and nothing really ends up making much sense, but fine performances all round, and Neeson's steely conviction, results in a fine 90 minutes of entertainment.

Liam Neeson and Jaume Collet-Serra seem to want to become the new Denzel Washington and Tony Scott (perhaps slightly blander, though, as in: less forceful in the supposedly virtuous world-weariness, less frenetic in the editing). Hence this teal plane is......non-stoppable!

The generic airport atmosphere opening sequence here serves as the perfect lead-in to this thrilling and claustrophobic ride where there's an anonymous hijacker on board and everyone feels like a suspect. The suspense is top-notch here, with plenty of twists and chilling plot turns that keep you guessing as to who the bad guy is. The ending unfortunately doesn't live up to the hype-it's messy and uninspired-but Non-Stop still remains a solid and well-acted action-thriller.

Watching Non-Stop is like standing in front of somebody while they inflate a balloon until it bursts: everything builds up slowly and the tension increases bit by bit until it gets to the point where all you can do is grimace and wince as you KNOW it's all gonna blow up in your face any moment. And it does. But because you're expecting it, all the silly bollocks at the end of this film doesn't distract too much from a half-decent thriller that, in truth, could well have been a helluva lot worse.

Apart from all the 9/11 blather, this gave me a very strong 90ies vibe. Not the nineties that gave us Boogie Nights and Lone Star, certainly. No, the 90ies that gave us The Peacemaker and motherfuckin' Air Force One! B-level stuff, derailed almost at the outset by its aggressive, cartoony hokiness. It wants to be slam-bang, but it also wants to be a provocative little chamber drama on a plane. Doesn't succeed as either, though, mainly because shit like this just does not work on a plane. It's cheesy and dumb, and Neeson's on autopilot. Only worth it if you're bored or undiscriminating.

Good thriller mystery that stays interesting right to the end. Unfortunately the climax is a bit of a let-down from the writer, but still this is a film worth watching. An air marshal with a troubled past (Liam Neeson) must contend with an anonymous hijacker, whose MO seems to be framing him for the crime. Tight little thriller, not exactly outstanding in any way, but pleasantly sensible (as such films go, at least) and undeniably suspenseful. Jaume Collet-Serra's direction is sharp, the script is nicely twisty, Neeson is appropriately grave and tough, and the supporting cast holds their own (though Lupita Nyong'o is wasted in a non-entity of a role).

Dumb as balls, of course, yet really worked for me in a way Taken - my pick for most overrated flick of the past decade - did not. It's absolutely, consistently compelling despite the insanity, maintaining edge-of-seat tension redolent of Speed or even TV's 24. I'm a big fan of keeping things claustrophobic, too, and Non-Stop's almost-entirely-plane-confined hundred minutes really feel the tension ratchet up. Liam Neeson gives a great performance, too: knowing, without lapsing into self-parody.

A rare rewatch for me. The entertainment holds up despite some aspects being completely asinine it's still a fun mile high thriller for me. Neeson in one of his best "post Taken action career" flicks. This was his second of four collaborations with director Collet-Serra (Unknown, Run All Night, The Commuter) and there's a chemistry there for sure. This is one of Liam Neeson's more underrated films. It's typical to find him in some thriller/action flick, but most of the time they're kinda just forgettable. This is a semi original premise that does a solid job of building suspense. The action is pretty solid, and the ending is fine all things considered. Only flaws I find are side "characters" you don't really care who dies because of them, unlike most "who done it?" movies. Aside from pace as well, this is a very good film.

Efficient thriller that maintains a degree of suspense, but can't make up its mind what is about. I don't know why films like this have to include every possible angle. I.E., this has -- a 'whodunit' angle -- a 'wrong man' angle -- a 'troubled cop' angle -- a 'politics' angle -- a 'family-romance' angle -- a 'disaster film' angle and in the end it can only collapse under all this weight, unless one tries hard not to think about it.
