As much as I enjoyed every member of the cast, especially Carol Burnett and Julie Hagerty, there just seems to be something missing here. Ok, I've got it. Humor.

Like Altman's Beyond Therapy, the director puts such an incredible effort into staging elaborate sequences with minimal cutting to questionable effect. There are barely any laughs in this film, and it's meant to be a comedy. The cast are running around like headless chooks, and Bogo seems more interested in the technical aspect of the film making process rather than actually making an enjoyable film. What's Up Doc must have been a fluke.

Well acted, and the comic timing of the cast is certainly to be commended. The breakneck pace and non-stop yelling gave me a headache after a while, though, and when things unravel at the end it actually isn't all that funny.

The incredibly logical part of my brain has some serious issues with a play that needs so much choreography being rushed through in two weeks. The fun side of my brain thought it was tremendous physical comedy, most notably Reeve bounding up a flight of stairs with his pants down. The second act was the most fun; I'm not sure the third act really deserved that happily-ever-after ending. Most reviewers love this or hate it; I can see both sides and will stay in the middle.

Enjoyable throughout, and increasingly so as the film goes on. I especially appreciated Julie Hagerty, Christopher Reeve, and Carol Burnett, along with Ritter's physical comedy as well. The emphasis on movement and physicality in the second act is so refreshing, and Bogdanovich frames the action extremely well. I expect this would reward rewatches, as increased familiarity with the play in Act 1 would bolster the counterpoints of Acts 2 and 3.

Estreava há 30 anos no Reino Unido. BORING.

It was done with a lot of dedication and effort, however the last 30 minutes seem more like an overdose.

This film has a nice ensemble cast who do good work here. Anyone who has done any theatre will be able to relate to this movie easier than people who have never done any plays before. Overall I would recommend this film.

One of my favorite comedies of all time. The first 15 minutes are a bit slow but they are there to explain how the play is supposed to work. After that you watch the actors screw up the play multiple times in hilarious ways.

Appealing to anyone who has ever been in a stage production, Frayn's magnificent play is handled hilariously by a great cast. Each act builds on the last, and those who weren't paying attention in the first act will find the later acts merely ho-hum.

There's something about the subtleties of British humour that other nations rarely seem to effectively recapture... Noises Off is a brilliant show. Impeccably structured, fast-paced, energetic; and in every other adaptation I have seen, the characters were all very memorable. However, the only thing that I found funny about this movie was the script itself. The actors don't seem to put any energy into it; and as such the characters aren't memorable at all. Should have been so much better...

A great cast and terrific performances stand out in this chaotic, amusing and undoubtedly different West End adaptation. It's enjoyable to watch throughout but the lack of any real storyline will always mean it's limited, and unfortunately out of the three 'acts' the final is the weakest and just becomes nothing more than viewing a car-crash performance, without half of the cleverness that precedes it. Would definitely be an impressive play to see live.

Most modern comedies don't seem to work but this is really funny. What a shame that Bogdanovich's career continued to tank

I imagine that I would have liked this more if I had done theater in high school. Also, needed more jokes about sardines.

Hysterically funny. Great farce, but even better seen on stage.

This is for all you that think History of the World or Princess Bride was actually funny. If you are in the mood for dry (a.k.a. boring puns) wit, this movie is for you. For those of us that like sophomoric and gimmicky humor, seek something else.

A very loyal adaptation of the hilarious 1983 play, the material sometimes feels cramped without a real theater to breathe in.
