Enjoyed the fake corps bit, but the rest was a little too routine to really set root for anything special. Margaret Lindsay, all she did at this stage of her career was play the girl in detective movies, and William Gargan was no stranger to them either, even if not his main forte. He did do the Ellery Queen series, with namely, Lindsay. My guess is that the license ran out and they just decided to continue doing Ellery Queen series under different names with the same people. Passable.
