I can understand people not liking No Lady (1931). The styles clash between the slapstick of the silent age and the quirkiness of the early talkies isn't exactly elegant. However to me Lupino Lane clowning got the giggles rolling. Not exactly a pretty movie, but there is a unique feel about the hybrid that worked for me. That, and Lupino's excellent slapstick technique.
