Ah, the sexiness of early STD films. One just want to stay abstinent for decades to come. No Greater Sin (1941) tries to destigmatize Syphilis. It failed. Over three quarters of a century later, one still cringe when one hear that word. While a movie with a dubious educational purpose, the drama is rather good. You feel the shame of it, while it at the same is progressive in it's attitude to beat the disease. Leon Ames sure took his role seriously educating the people!
