A fairly good movie from Yakov Protazanov without reaching any peaks. Well shot, and well dramatized. Nishchaya is a popular singer with many admirers. But then she gets sick and she loses her voice and looks. Nathalie Lissenko as a lady full of confidence on stage to a aging lady without any was a solid performance from her and the reason that makes this movie worth wild.
