Ninja in the Dragon's Den

Wowza! I'm not sure I knew what frenetic meant until I saw these guys occasionally just kicking their way into the next scene. Everything in this was awesome except the "homemade fortress" battle that goes on for too long. That part is well beyond awesome. This movie helped me realize how much I need Hiroyuki Sanada in my life more.

How to instill the burgeoning Hong Kong action comedy style of the last few years with some more cross-appeal for Japan? Easy: ninja, lots of ninja. Also Hiroyuki Sanada, and an endearingly bombastic theme song written by Casey Rankin (from the band Shogun). Works for me. Learn about stealth, honor, and the combat applications of stilts and impure thoughts.

I kinda like those intercultural martial arts films, and this has pretty decent action and a healthy dose of goofy hilarity, especially the ending.

Freakin Awesome. I could watch Hiroyuki Sanada doing ninja shit all day.

Dumb dialogue, great action and a facepalm of an ending. Definitely the most professional ninja movie I've seen lately.

All points for the fights the rest of the movie is just silly shit.
