A lot of good music has come out of Norway, especially these last few years, but the same can not be said about movies. In stark contrast to the excellent film industry of Sweden, there is maybe a handful of Norwegian movies worth seeing for a non-Norwegian audience. This is one of those movies. I won't call it a masterpiece, but it is very good. The story is definitely exciting and unusual enough to make up for the movie's shortcomings, such as the somewhat flimsy editing.

Bear Grylls has got nothing on this guy, who is well played by Jack Fjeldstad. An amazing journey through a snowy hell, some truly spectacular shots here, it really does look like the actors went through their own kind of hell for this epic. I did have some issues with it though, the overbearing soundtrack was screaming in my ears far too often and a few of the vertical rolling shots in the beginning were nauseating.

Apart from some nice and thoughtful camerawork, this is pretty uninteresting stuff.
