Nina Forever

This movie sucked so much that it made me angry.

Odd and likable little film, owing more to the recent spat of good British indie dramas than horror. Could have done more with less - ie there's a truly great short film in here, but it runs out of steam over 100 minutes. Still, worth the time, and definitely stands out.

Quite stupid and messed up. Zero chemistry between the main leads. Nice pair of boobs, though.

Nina Forever has a good premise and an interesting perspective on grief, guilt and break-ups. Unfortunately as the film goes on (and on and on) it becomes painfully tedious as it morphs into a relationship tragedy; the punchline would have been funny had I not been bored. The nudity that was once almost erotic becomes a nuisance of naked people nattering, extending the runtime. Ultimately, despite solid performances, the film is too long and (minorly) O'Shaughnessy's Nina wasn't cutting enough.

It's well done, but I watch movies to escape from this! Unadorned England.

Certainly watchable, mostly due to the consistent nudity from the two female leads. But as someone who has never been in a relationship (did the previous sentence clue you in?), it didn't do much for me. And the way it was filmed makes it seem like the directors just got out of film school. Scenes are given too much gravitas. There's a fun montage part of the way through the film that I wish the whole movie was more like. This is a humorous concept, yet it's taken too seriously.

A mess. I don't see how it's supposed to drive the plot, having a zombie pop up when the lead has sex. In a better script she would hold some kind of physical or paranormal power over the protagonists. Apart from the gratuitous blood, the film has a rather amateur, studenty look. There are a lot of loose ends and unexplained character details in the bland script. The lead lad and zombie girl were insufferable, but Abigail Hardingham could be one to watch. Just not in this; it's better avoided.

Nice idea but the execution is torturously slow

Okay.... this was a little messed up, wasn't it?! I mean, having your dead ex-girlfriend join in lesbian action with your new girlfriend while you're fucking her. Even more messed up was that I kinda got turned on by that....
