When she set out to throw the ultimate Halloween party, Angela Feld (Shannon Elizabeth) picked the spookiest site she could find: the rumored-to-be-cursed Broussard Mansion. But by "ultimate," she didn't mean for it to be her last. Still, thanks to gates that have inexplicably locked, Angela and her friends are now trapped inside with no way out.

A slight improvement with writing and special effects compared to the '88 version ....But that's not saying much ultimately not my thing

A remake of the cheesy 80's low-rent horror "Night of the Demons"(1988) that missed the mark, and remade it dumb in all the wrong ways. Some parts of the adaptation I enjoy, like the set-up, which in the original is painfully tedious to sit through, but most of the movie feels like another poorly inspired mediocre modern horror film. Although it manages to be watchable enough, with some heavy gore and cheap tits, any attempts at camp or humor felt cynical and contrived.

NotD, as we in NotD fan community (please tell me that doesn't exist) call Night of the Demons, is only worthwhile because it is an archetypal 80s teen horror flick. It follows all the rules, and is bad exactly in the way we expect an 80s teen horror flick to be bad. The remake doesn't get that and reeks of the frathouse cynicism that plagues modern DTV horror (rather than the frathouse cynicism that went into the making of the original).

So dumb and pretty shitty, yet I sort of enjoyed it on a shitty enjoy level.

Pretty average and generic. It lacks the stupid charm of the original and actually got boring at times. It's worth a watch but nothing more.

In this movie, the demonic plan to take over our world fails because the sexy female host of a Halloween party (who is a demon in disguise) is unable to kiss seven people during the night. As an awkward male geek who always strikes out at parties this was not only unbelievable but also very insulting.

I'll start with the inarguable observation that time has not been kind to Furlong, and from perusing the internet I see that he's only garnered deserved negative attention for the past decade. Moving on, it has a badly written plot, plenty of gore, and enough demons to satisfy. Sure, it's cheesy, but game on, I say.

Bad script, poorly acted and terrible special effects. Boobs were stupid silicons and nudity lame.

The ingredients were there for a late-night, teen horror/comedy but, dodgy writing and acting stopped it being funny and dodgy editing stopped it being scary. More a shame because the gore effects were pretty good.

Watchable horror flick, as it moves along quickly at only 93 minutes (which mostly consists of blood and tits!) The makeup on the demons looked good, even if the explanation for their origin was clunky and silly.

Loved the tiny cameo by Linnea Quigley. Other than that barely watchable.

Titty tentacles. Disaster of a film that was only made slightly watchable by Edward Furlong. Really.

SCARY!! I wasn't expecting much from this film when I chose to watch it. I figured it was going to be a dumb movie like those "i know what you did last summer flicks" with just demons and such. Mainly becuse of the choices in the cast but holy shit I wasn't prepared. I was on the edge of my seat the whole entire time. Don't watch it alone. :)

Reminded me a great deal of old school horrors. Also very funny! But the movie in general..not my favorite.

Generic horror: Could have been watchable if it weren't for Edward Furlong's lame performance.

Like the original, the story is a bit silly.Tho the acting has improved greatly from the 80's version, this movie still kinda sucks.Even for a horror. The demons look a bit silly ,like a bad tales of the crypt episode.Tho theres plenty of blood, and plenty of (plastic) tits, which are usually essential for a good horror movie, this movie is still mediocre at best, an hard to take seriously.Besides Ed furlong, theres not much acting going on. Pacing is off and tends to get boring. For the fans

Pretty bad movie, story/script was poor and characters were dumb. The makeup was pretty good though, if nothing else.
