There are some good things about the film. It starts with a Bikini Kill song. David Cross voices all of the robots except for the main one (which is a shame, because John Krasinski does a pretty terrible job voicing it). Otherwise, it largely repeats themes you've seen hundreds of times and ends with an overly long climax that batters you into submission with explosions.

Cliché? Nah, not this one.

Really well done and the voice cast is great--Michael Peña was perfect casting. Looking forward to see what this Canadian animation studio does in the future.

Such high expectations and it really let me down :(

Nearly ruined by the obnoxious female lead. Her angst was laid SO THICK on the viewers, watching the movie felt like an emotional punishment. Especially since she mostly lashes out at the one thing that deserves it the least - the robot BFF that unconditionally loves her and is willing to die for her. And she shits on him at every turn. Our protagonist, ladies and gentlemen. Blergh.

Feels like it's trying more than a lot of its Alibaba animation peers.

Absolutely joyless. This feels churned out by a studio working to formulae, rather than something that people wrote. It looks like Big Hero Six with the plot of I, Robot, a weird amount of violence, and just meh.

Original and different, interesting and creative aesthetics and world, simple and emotional story

This was sneaky good. Might have helped that I had next to zero expectations, but it was really enjoyable. It has a Big Hero 6 vibe and seems to take a dig at Apple, but the story while not completely original is pretty good. The animation is also surprisingly great, and the voice actors, at least in the English version, were all terrific. Does get a little action-heavy towards the end but the ending is rather fresh and emotional.

This animated movie from China felt surprisingly fresh with great animation, a good message at its core and tender as well as exciting moments. I enjoyed it a lot.

Pretty much a Chinese remake of Big Hero 6 (2014), which is fine, for within all the clichés and rip-off elements they actually does deliver a entertaining and action-packed animation movie for most ages. The entire family appreciated this, especially the 7 year old who really dug it.

Solidly fun.
