Heck yeah this movie! Hot 90's chicks (Merle Kennedy rar)! Big guns and bigger explosions! B-list legends! Cyborgs and a climactic battle with an endoskeleton!

B-movie stalwarts parade in and out of scenes that do little more than throw out weird gadgets or cybertronics or wacky world-building jargon then it's on to the next machine gun action scene. Economic is the word, but Pyun moves his action scenes like a pro and it never screams cheap except slightly in some aging cgi fx. I should just keep repeating action, action, action because it was so full of it and so enjoyable.

The early '90s were an underrated time for the old fashioned bullets and boobies B-movie. This one's a hot cyborg-y mess with wooden acting and a convoluted plot, but it's never ever boring. When you absolutely, positively have to empty hundreds of rounds into the side of a building, accept no substitutes.

Incredible low budget effects punching way above their weight class are thrust upon a story you couldn't even begin to care about.

Absolutely horrendous film (why would you pick a guy with that accent to be the lead in your film with a bunch of one-liners?) but it's fun, and that's all I care about when the film is this bad

Pyun's future is that of dark sunglasses, posturing, guns with scopes, sweat, and the tannest Brion James you've ever seen. It's all pretty entertaining.

Surprise surprise - another movie with Gruner playing a cyborg - this time by Martial Arts cyborg master, Albert Pyun. Like Gruner's performance in Automatic (1994), Nemesis is also a decent "B" cyberpunk flick. In Nemesis, Gruner does his Robocop impersonation while trying to fight bad guys in the year 2027. In a well done style over substance movie, we get a nice underground war between cyborgs and humans.

Derivative and violent action film, strictly for those whose idea of a good time is bimbos with big guns.

If you want a movie with lots of good looking chicks and dudes with sunglasses with big guns shooting things up and those things exploding randomly; this is the movie for you. If you want a movie with a coherent plot, well delivered one-liners by a charismatic lead and topnotch sfx; this movie isn't for you.

Nemesis is an amazing accomplishment for a film with a budget of only $2 million. Relatively nice special effects, entertaining action and solid camera work. The story drags terribly, but the sci-fi elements are decent; There's bits of Robocop, Terminator and Blade Runner. Maybe if Pyun had had another million he could've kept pace throughout, now i got a bit too bored at times.

Could have used a little less action, and a bit more plot development. Also invincible main stars are crap. Should've died at the end.

Risible dialogue and scattergun exposition, but honestly pretty spectacular photography/badass shot design and action, especially in the opening act. It's also clear that this film has heavily inspired a large number of superior later works, most obviously The Matrix (directly homage/borrowing a number of shots/sequences), and in videogames Deus Ex picked up a lot of the plot elements and aesthetics (as well as that poster design) and polished them to another level. Kudos. Worth the watch.

Great little SciFi action movie. It's got style and lots of fun action, and some cool stop motion cyborg action. I liked it.

Gruner isn't terrible and the production value much higher than expected. Except that final boss fight...

This would have scored lower but I just discovered there's 3(!) sequels, so I'm saving the single-digit scores on the off-chance that I'm ever unlucky enough to be subjected to them. Badly written, directed and acted. The lead guy is like a less-capable Jean Claude van Damme (who knew that was possible?) So much shooting and exploding but somehow utterly boring.

Just dull. I bet the makers of this movie were some of the same schmoes who worked on many of those 156,285,158 lame '80s martial-arts movies: this movie is full of buffed-out dudes and chicks, and they're shot in this really visually boring way throughout. These guys don't even seem to understand what a "cyborg" is

One of the many crap no brainer sci fi movies made in the 1990's. lack of CGI meant the tower falloing was actually real. AMAZINGLY, there are three sequels to this steaming pile of dog turd... There's a forum post from one of the stuntmen in imdb which is more worthwhile than the flick itself!!! Toe knee :-)
