Praise James Stewart for making a ordinary cadet movie bearable! Don't get me wrong. Navy Blue and Gold (1937) is a fine movie of this genre with an expected warm ending, but there are so many similar movies without this bringing anything new to the campus plot. Probable the best aspect was the ace cast that assists an average script greatly.
