High-court justice M.K. Menon (Thilakan) was a martinet who sentenced his own son, Marancheri Induchoodan (Mohanlal), for murder, for 6 years, although Induchoodan pleaded innocent. Returning back from jail, Induchoodan locks horns with enemies of his father - the Manappally family, who he believed framed him. In the ensuing tug of war, Manappally Pavithran (N.F. All glitter on the outside, but hollow inside. That's Narasimham in a nutshell. Narasimham is one of the many-in-a-row braindead movies of Mohanlal (and often directed by Shaji Kailas himself) where he portrays a superhero-like character who fights evil rich politicians & businessmen, protects the innocent & stands and deliver mile-long dialogs. In Narasimham, they also pulled in Mammootty for a short fiery performance, designed for nothing else other than applause from stupid die-hard fans.
