Nana

From when Renoir just couldn't stop burning through his inheritance trying to conjure a Hollywood-style vehicle for his wife—another long, pretty, off-kilter film in search of an audience. Imagine Marion Davies at her most impish, attempting a venal 19th-century courtesan, as Zola's novel politely accommodates this divine being of absolute camp; such is the performance Hessling gives us—and the universe. An entertaining sight to behold, if at least 45 (self-produced) minutes too long.

It's well shot has beautiful sets and great cinematography but I found this to be overly long and a little boring.
