If you're a Bruce Campbell fan - I mean a REAL BC fan - you will get an absolute kick out of this send-up of his "celebrity", his uber-fans and the film industry in general. Lots of "inside" jokes that non-Bruce fans just won't get.

If you're a Bruce Campbell fan this will certainly entertain. It starts off horribly to be honest but once Bruce shows up then it instantly turns itself around and becomes a downright laugh riot. Completely self-aware it manages to lovingly make fun of Bruce, his business associates and his fans. If you don't like Bruce Campbell give this a miss, if you do then this will be right up your alley.

This is a fanboy film. It's made specifically for fans of horror icon Bruce Campbell who connect with his unique brand of smarmy self deprecating humour. I like Campbell plenty, but My Name Is Bruce is ultimately too cheap to fulfill its self admittedly low aspirations, and his performance is more satisfying than his direction, which is incredibly amateurish. It's possibly the strangest vanity project ever made, but it's just passable as a beer-and-pizza film to watch with like minded friends.

As a Bruce Campbell fan, I appreciate and enjoy this easily otherwise terrible movie. Nothing is really great here except for the premise being insane and the zany acting of the B-movie man himself, Bruce Campbell. Really entertaining for what it is, but not much more.

Bruce Campbell may indeed be Bruce Campbell, but he's a poor director. There is no visual style of any kind here. Also, this is pretty much devoid of humour... or horror.

Low-budget and full of cheap laughs, most of which hit their mark. I'm not a huge follower of Campbell's output but I got enough of the jokes to keep me entertained. He clearly has no problems making fun of himself and the roles he's been cast in, and seemed to be having a great time doing it.

My Name is Bruce is a self-deprecating film made by and starring Bruce Campbell, B-movie icon. For what it is, it's a really funny movie that makes fun of Campbell's entire career -- save for, perhaps, his cameos in the Spider-man films. It borrows plot elements from a lot of movies he was in previously, and it makes more references than it could if it wanted to include anyone not in the know. I had a good time, and if you're a fan of Campbell, you probably will as well.

Everything you would expect from Bruce Campbell's straight to video homage to himself and the movies he tends to attract. Always ready to poke fun at himself and his fans, Bruce delivers a fun movie with a soundtrack that annoyingly sticks in your head for a week. I like it!

I had very high hopes for this. The premise sounds perfect. Bruce Campbell plays Bruce Campbell and fights a monster. Yet it lacked much of what made Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness instant classics. That said get a group of friends, some drinks, and some pizza so you can laugh the night away. A for sure recommend if for nothing more than the song. Wan You, Wan Me, Wan Di, his name is Wan Di.

This movie makes fun of the actor and the cult fans who love him. The jokes are low-brow, the effects aren't very special, and the acting is very cheesy, but when you put this movie into context, it achieved exactly what it set out to do.

I'm a big Bruce Campbell fan, but this movie is still terrible--embarrassing in fact. Characters' behavior is nonsensical and inconsistent even for a comedy, their version of camp-on-purpose falls flat on its face, and then they throw in pratfalls and fart jokes on top of that other failed comedy. It's got plenty of inside jokes, but it also futzes around with even the most well-known facts of Campbell's life and career. A couple of laughs are there, but they aren't worth it.

It's parody of the B-movie, so you can imagine how it looks. I liked inside jokes about all these movies, movie production, movie fans, actors and directors. Other than that its completely uninteresting garbage. I kept thinking, that Bruce Campbell should have made this as a fun documentary of some kind.

Shot in his own back yard this could have been another The Day The Clown Cried, but instead we get a well toned and well executed independent film. It is a bit insider humor but at the same time Bruce never talks down to his fans and is willing to deconstruct himself for them. Vastly underrated.

Only works for Campbell fans. Some awkward 'jokes' and poor production values really hurt the (already predictable) film. Sure, it's supposed to be a tongue-in-cheek B-film, but a little more effort would have made it at least memorable.

It’s a shame this wasn’t a lot better. There’s little snippets of funny bits here and there, plus the references and cameos for fans, but for the most part it simply falls a bit flat. Bruce Campbell is the best thing going for it, but it just wasn’t that good and it should have been a lot greater for what the concept was overall.

Terribly disappointing. Bruce Campbell is normally hilarious and fun to watch, and playing himself here he's still enjoyable - but the rest of the movie is a trainwreck. There's barely any jokes worth laughing at, and everything just feels tossed together carelessly. I'd love to see it attempted again. It suffers from the tongue-in-cheek, "we know it's a B movie" attitude, where it tries too hard to be campy and not enough on being entertaining.

This one hurt me. It cut me real deep (metaphorically). I love Bruce Campbell and Ash is easily one of my favourite characters ever to grace the big screen, but this was such a huge let down. How the fuck do you fuck up this bad Brucie? Such an amazing premise and you just flushed it down the drain like a turd. I need to remake this movie.

I'd heard bad things, and having read the comic I was willing to believe them but this is a very enjoyable movie. Doesn't take itself too seriously and Bruce does his usual great job. Might just be one for the fans, and Ted Raimi's rediculously stereotyped characters are a bit much, but if you love a bit of chin and a bit of Troma you should love this

There's some fun to be had here, but it's too self-aware and tongue-in-cheek for my tastes. Some of the gags are okay, a lot are terrible (Brokeback Mountain reference? Who thought that was a good idea?). Somehow I didn't hate myself for watching it, though. Primarily for hardcore Bruce Campbell fans... which I'm not, but I do enjoy him in general. As a sidenote, the image quality is pretty lousy for Blu-Ray.

I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who has not at least seen the Evil Dead series, but Bruce Campbell fans will appreciate this as a pretty good "bad movie" (with frequent references to and spoofs of his past films). Trash, but yet more amusing than Man with the Screaming Brain and *easily* superior to Bubba Ho-Tep.
