There's not really any reason for this to exist. It's not mind-numbingly horrible, it's just completely pointless.

Typical opportunistic movie to make more money at the expense of the first movie. This sequel has no meaning, still changed the story to get the movie, ridiculous.

My Girl 2: Vada Returns - The LA Trip lmao. Best part is when she and the dude actually acknowledge in plain dialogue that when Vada’s uncle and his mom get married they’ll be cousins, then they kiss anyway. Can’t spell “incest vacation Hollywood” without Vada

First half is ok, sort of coming-of-age movie with cute kid in search of mysterious expired parent. Fish-out-of-water element in L.A. a bit underplayed, but decent chemistry with her cousin/boyfriend. After an hour the plot majorly peters out and it becomes pretty boring. A bit of morality, bizarre subplot, decent support cast. The cute kid can't quite carry it for 2 hours with a bad script. I only realised late on this was supposed to be set in the 70s. Well, a harmless time-passer from 1994.

Money grubbing sequel has little to offer. I was praying the whole time everyone would be killed by bees.

This movie is so bad, I'm shocked Anna Chlumsky didn't end up in an Andy Sidaris film. Thank you, I'll be here all week.

One of the first movies I saw as a teen. Liked it a lot in those days.
