My Dog Tulip

A deeply moving dog-lover's film without the insufferable sentimentality that I find repellent in most films about dogs.

Lots of surprises in the movie, the author talks about his feelings in a straightforward way.

A well-animated film about a rather unpleasant, melancholy man and his poorly-trained dog. My animal science and behavior background meant that half the time I was mentally shouting at him to "properly train his dog," which he most likely would have taken as a personal affront instead of good advice.

Only people who have (or had) a dog would fully appreciate this wonderful animation.

As an animation greatly done, but the choice of voice-over made it dry and... well, like it was read from the book. As a matter of fact the story was based on a book, but as it was it stayed a bit half done like of work. Christopher Plummer did a good job though.
