Murderlust

This stood out from the SOV films that I've seen lately. It was no surprise that it was really filmed on 16mm and released on VHS. The film follows the killer and predates following year's "Henry". Eli Rich captures the balance between the smooth-talking con-man, loser and a psychopath. Aerial shots of Mojave desert are effective as is the electronic score. The film is actually not that graphic, but it has a disturbing and dirty atmosphere which is further enchanced by the VHS presentation.
