The acting saved this low budget murder mystery. The plot wasn't that great, and clearly the filming wasn't anything to brag about either. But Edward Van Sloan as the professor, J. Farrell MacDonald as the police captain and Charles Starrett as the investigating journalist made it work well enough to be watchable. Felt like a 80's 'Murder She Wrote' episode....
