Murder by the Clock

A fun murder non-mystery. From the get-go, it looks like you're in for one of those talkies more wooden than the theater boards—and you are. And there's little pretense of doubt when they're taking what would later be known as the Columbo approach for the most part. No, the appeal here is a generous serving of cheese, and at least a few cast members that summon forth enough camp into the cheeky little moments and big absurd twists to make it a laugh once it gets going.

This is a hilarious horror story! The hilarious was for the most part unintentional though. With some real wooden characterizations, poor dialogue and most clichèd plot developments. But still it was very enjoyable in it's cheesy display of horror. Lilyan Tashman played the most obvious manipulator in the history of cinema! It was done sooooo out there one couldn't help but laugh. And with a mixture of other fools and cowards and all the plot twist one would need this was pure entertainment!
