Mum & Dad

It shocked and disgusted so I guess it achieved what it set out to do. I was genuinely revolted at some scenes and Perry Benson was great as 'Dad'. It didn't really go anywhere though, it was all a bit aimless. It was also very funny in a twisted kind of way. Good gore, tense scenes, worth a watch.

Decent shock horror.

Humourless, revolting torture porn that is so in love with it's repulsiveness that it becomes comical - there's a scene early on of a man with his back to the camera and clearly wanking, turns out he was using a human heart to wank himself with, fair enough that's a gross sight-gag but then they show the spunk oozing out of the heart in two close-ups, once is funny but twice is tedious

Top badass moment? Lena looks pretty miserable for most of the movie, as well she might given the circumstances. However, she never really gives up trying to get away, despite all the unpleasantness. That's badass. Having said that, she was being offered free accommodation. A room in the Heathrow area has got to be worth £450 / month and for all they knew, she could have been an axe murderer or something. To be honest it makes her seem a bit ungrateful. 1 decapitation, no cats or chainsaws.

OK, but nothing special.

Good. A polish girl in London is kidnapped by a deranged family. This film does almost everything right in the torture-porn category. The gore is aplenty and not needless at all, the sense of despair is always present. The kidnapped girl unfortunately is a bit lacking in the acting department but the psychos make up for it by their excellent portrayal. All in all, a well made scary movie. Worth a rental.

Quite revolting, but I suppose it was meant to be.

A decent horror watch, but nothing new here.

Grisly Brit horror which goes nowhere but creates an effectively disturbing home environment.

Tense horror.
