Mulan II

Insulting, both to the original and your intelligence. Avoid.

Unnecessary, uninspired sequel with none of the charm of the original. Disney needs an undo button!

"She's primped. She's engaged. She's back". Mulan and Shang are getting married, but before that they have to go on a secret mission and on top of that, there is another attack from the Huns. In this film, Mulan can count on the support of Mushu again.

I'm unsure why so many think this movie a disgrace to the first one. The songs, characters, and plot emotionally engaged me; particularly, I cry every time I watch Shang fall. However, I admit that I do NOT enjoy Mushu as an antagonist. That narrative was an unnecessary, bad addition in my opinion. Still, one of my favorite Disney renaissance movies! (Yeah, I know, it's not really from that period. It's just a sequel from that part of my childhood, so I decided it counts.)

Not good but not terrible. More like bland and pointless. I don't get the moral of the story. Fav scene: I don't even remember.

Most of this is just boring, uninspired and cheap but man those songs are bad, I mean truly terrible.

Ok this is crap for a sequel.. quick Disney cash in.

Eddie Murphy passed on this one... and you've seen some of the crap he can make for movies. What's that tell you? ... Now, I loved Mulan... and I love Mushu. But this story does nothing for either character. The premise is somewhat the same... women casting off their gender roles and expectations. Overall... meh. Skip.

Lovely as the first. It does not have the cultural impact that the first contained, and rather has a smaller, more detailed and personal message. While I prefer the first, it was not as bad as most sequels turn out. God bless Mr. Miyagi (Pat Morita).
