Fairly entertaining with a classic ending but doesn't break new ground.

Grant is so madcap in this one he keeps the entire films pace constantly rolling. He's given good lines to work with and his lovable slimeball character is great. I liked the setup of both the identity he steals and the con he then attempts. You'll see the ending coming but bc of grants chemistry with day it feels like something special.

Sometimes all you need from a movie is Cary Grant, walking in the fog, towards a girl, who stands there, hoping to find him, so she can turn, and they embrace.

Cary Grant is always good when he can be Cary Grant. Him as a gangster in a patriotic mood however was a idea which could have used some fine-tuning. It created a lot of fun moments where that Cary charm was ace. At the same time, it's emotional center never felt right. Therefore its not going to be among my favorite Grant comedies, even if there was some classic Cary Grant in there.
