Mr. Crocket

While the execution is not terrible, one can practically do a checklist of the, better, horror movies it's aping at every turn. What it has going for it is that it thrives on adult fear, helping it rise a little bit above the gimmicks.

IMHO this is best compared to Freddy's Dead (1992). The setup is good, the FX are really nice for the budget, Elvis Nolasco delivers in every single scene — but it's also corny AF, is limited by its budget, and moves too quickly (maybe because it tries to cover wayyyyy too much backstory for how short it is). I recommend it to horror aficionados, but for everyone else YMMV.

This started off strong but it quickly fell apart.
