Oh man a horrible film and a slap in the face to America's past time. The only thing that I took from this movie is that when you are in Japan and you bean a hitter make sure you tip your cap... Or else IT'S ON!!!!

there's a scene in this movie where Tom Selleck, played by Mr. Baseball, asks not to be traded to Cleveland. there is a 10 second pause, maybe longer, clearly intended as a buffer for the audience's roaring laughter. however, as I am a loser who watched this alone, and I did not laugh, there was just 10 seconds of dead air. now imagine that same experience for 2 hours

Showed this to my wife and while it was a bit slower and more dramatic than I remembered it was still fun and had a lot of heart.

Very interesting look at baseball operations in Japan. Sadly, not a very good "fish-out-of-water sports movie."

Meh. Tom Selleck's tour with all the MLB teams to promote the movie was more exciting. He toured the teams doing batting practice with them. I saw him hit a home run in St. Louis.
