Movie Movie

Likable spoof of the old-time double feature, with a B&W boxing melodrama, a Technicolor musical, and a faux trailer for an aerial war film. George C. Scott plays a tragic elder-statesman figure in both, to solid effect; Barry Bostwick, doing a riff on Dick Powell in the second half, steals the show. Doesn't have the bite to soar as satire or the abandon to click as farce, but for film buffs it's worthwhile both as a parody and a key piece of 70s nostalgia.

A funny and clever movie that seems to have disappeared.

Another movie which I think is a bit too obscure. The film is only about 110 mins. total, but the two segments work well (especially the boxing one.)
