There just aren't enough R-rated kids movies. The script for this movie was a bowl that was placed under David Lynch's films and caught all the spillage.

That rare thing, a cult movie with no cult following. I love road movies so this is sort of a guilty pleasure for me. I'd love to spend a day in the crazy alternate reality that this movie takes place in

I have never in my life seen a movie that existed in such total confusion over its own themes, genre, aesthetic, or even target audience. It uses a child as the main character and the direction feels like an episode of The Adventures of Pete & Pete, but it depicts murder, lynchings, domestic abuse, and even said child getting maimed. With that said, I found the magical realism interesting and the cast fascinatingly unlikely. It feels like North, but insane instead of just terrible.

Interesting, off beat and totally random road trip film. I'm not really sure what it's all about and didn't really understand it (the last 25 minutes go way off the deep end), but it's still less complicated than every David Lynch film ever.

I couldn't get through this movie. Sure there may have some redeeming qualities about it but I couldn't get passed the inane acting and sheer randomness. My prediction on criticker was "awesome", well usually criticker is quite good at predicting movies I would like, but this one was a way tad off! I was stoked to see a movie that was written by the writer of "after hours", one of my favorites, however I see little in common with this movie.
