(second viewing) "Be careful what u wish for, it might come true". So many underlying themes for a 6 min short, misconception of happiness, man's coping with society. I love this short, little fella still looks like E.T. :)

Haunting and touching, with excellent use of a New Order song.

Trying to capture happiness/bliss inside a mechanism while the reality lies milimeters away. It's very mainstream considering most of the animated shorts out there (shouldn't be mainstream if most are experimental, I contradict myself). It's surprising to see Osborne went on and directed Kungfu Panda.

That a short film can say so much withut a single word spoken and only 5 minutes of animation is quite a feat.

Excellent stuff. A meditation on the transformation of artistic, noble ambitions to the allure of capitalism, perpetuating a cycle of misery.

Visually competent and a cool song to boot, but everything here is a bit too oversimplified for my liking and I feel that every time I watch this the allegory gets confused.

If you felt nothing while watching this, then your soul is as empty as a clay alien who pulled the lifeforce from his gut-compartment to build a pair of happy glasses that only ended up making him more miserable.

Without saying anything this short manages to portray a story that packs quite a punch. The visuals - with outstanding claymation - and great music work together to create the perfect atmosphere for this little gem of a film. What else can i say other than that it's a damn fine way to spend 5 minutes. Haunting.

philisophically speaking this movie is one of the best i've ever seen, and even though it has no dialog it portays it's message well and beautifully. i have to say it's very hard to make such an impression over the course of six minutes, so kudos to mark osborne.

Effective critique of both consumerism and cultural capitalism, pointing out the way in which these lead to the depletion of libidinal energy and as such to the deterioration of the libidinal economy.

Great short, and a harsh criticism of man's eternal quest to find happiness by material means, when in reality, happiness comes from within, in man's innocence, from the little things in life. New Order's haunting instrumental 'Elegia' breathes magic into this.

Dunno, just not that interesting. Nothing profound either like others are saying. The story has been done to death, everything was predictable as soon as you saw him at his desk. The animation style is disgusting also. Fine for a student film but on it's own, not very interesting.

I didn't even really know anything about this going in and I'm left speechless. The idea that you can get to the top of a corporation by selling your soul is not a new one, and it's also not original to say that happiness is right underneath our noses... but this is showcased brilliantly here. The animation--whether it's the drab claymation or the more flamboyant and kiddish "Bliss" animation--is fantastic and depicts it perfectly. So much is said in such little time.

I like movies that depict unhappiness in a beautiful way. I don't know why (OK I have a idea why), but the fact that this movie could be so powerful in a mere 6 minutes is a credit to both director/writer Mark Osborne and New Order (who made the music).

So Yellow Submarine got together with the Tool music videos and produced a love child that was raised by Tim Burton and Voltaire(the singer) with a New Wave/Post punk soundtrack, and we have More. If what I just wrote to describe this made no sense, then you should pass, but if it sounds intriguing, then persue by all means. Its only six minutes long and well worth double that of your time. I am glad this was recommended to me, and I want to recommend it to you.

There's nothing very "original" about this short film. The themes it tackles are rather simple and obvious and the visual style is clearly indebted to the likes of Terry Gilliam and Tim Burton, but the film still comes together in an extremely impressive way. It's the sort of film you can watch over and over -- not necessarily because you take so incredibly much more away from it each time intellectually, but because it's simply an incredibly well done, beautiful, haunting work.
