Much like Ultra Q was a precursor to Ultraman this feels like a precursor to Kamen Rider. I wish all the superhero films were so upfront with the violence and death and not chicken out. This was made for kids in the late '50s but by the '70s when most of the superhero kids' shows became popular on TV things got tamed down.
