Monsters and Men

It's a delicate film that doesn't provide answers, but does portray the day to day struggle of the black community in a realistic way, from multiple points of view. Reality is not black and white, much like this film. While it is powerful and realistic, it does drag, and largely fails to tell its story in an engaging or entertaining fashion.

sonucu ve çeşidi ne kadar bariz olursa olsun esasen karmaşık kolları olan bir sosyopolitik problemi görece dengeli, ahlaken oturaklı-tutarlı bir açıdan başarılı biçimde ele alıyor. ağır başlı anlatısıyla, sosyal konulara dair temel problemlerden biri olan melodramatikleşmeyle veya kuru/düz/tek boyutlu anlatıyla meseleye karşı uyuşuklaşmayı yaratmıyor olması diğer bir başarı.

Thoughtful and pensive drama is not the incendiary, agitated film you might expect, instead taking a wider view of societal problems and attitudes which contribute to (and ultimately inflame) the need for activism. Brilliantly written, almost RASHOMON style weaving together three different perspectives of the agitating incident; Washington is best as the conflicted cop, but Harrison and Ramos bring texture to their roles. Achieves more in 90 minutes than many comparable films do in 2+ hours.
