The first film that Roger Corman produced. It takes place in Mexico, and given that this is the 1950s, the dark folks down there need a white savior and happen to be involved with Aztec witchcraft (for whatever reason, Quetzalcoatl has them sacrificing to a water creature). The acting isn't shabby in this one, though, and the one-man submarine is pretty neat for a low-budget film. And while the scenes of men talking are hard to watch, the movie as a whole is brisk. Worth seeing.
