Monster Mash: The Movie

Watching this is the experience of rolling cheerfully thru cheesy, low-budget fun... and then being slammed to a stop by a deeply tasteless and bigoted pop culture joke. I assume all of these were added to the stage play from the 60s that this movie is adapted from, just as I'm sure that play already had the deep veins of forced heterosexuality and "I hate my wife" boomer humor that drive the plot. Bobby Pickett is genuinely hilarious as Dr. Frankenstein, at least.
