devos is fantastic in this revenge tale which takes it's time before hitting the final crescendo....

A slow but composed revenge thriller. Emmanuelle Devos and Nathalie Baye both perform very well in the key roles. It is filmed effectively, and the tension creeps up infinitesimally with each passing minute. But deep down it is more of a character study, than a wild ride to submit to, and even the climax hardly sets pulses racing. Slick, but its director and central character are too cold-blooded to make a truly entertaining film.
