A camel is a horse designed by committee. After watching this you'll start to wonder how any decent movie was ever made, and I think it's even worse nowadays. Why do so many people dislike this movie? Sure, it has nothing overly memorable, but it speaks the truth about a great deal of interhuman relations where the lines between personal interest and business blur. And also, and especially, what a fucked up cashflow-mashine with no essence of magic left hollywood mostly is.
